Is It Sensory-Friendly: Lalu Wovens Chrysalis Paloma

Lalu Wovens is a sensory friendly baby carrier

I'm fairly new to the Lalu Wovens brand. I came across Lalu Wovens a few months back on Instagram, then I met the owner at the International Babywearing Conference in July. Recently, I got my hands on a Chrysalis Paloma. I'm here to tell you about my experience with this wrap (sensory wise).

When I first got the wrap out of the package, it was not love. Honestly, the wrap felt stiff and starchy. If this had been my first impression with these wraps, I probably would have been completely turned off by this! Fortunately, I had played with some of the "broken in" wraps at IBC and knew what they can feel like.

So, I popped it in the washer and dryer and when I pulled it out, oh. my. gosh! It felt amazing. So much different than when I got it out of the packaging! But I knew it could get even softer.

So, we started wearing.

I brought it with us to our local science center and wrapped up Miss Spunky. It's so supportive and has this cushy, almost sponginess to it (at least, that's my way of describing it). It was a very successful day out with this beautiful wrap.

Still, I knew it could get even softer. So I gave it another wash and dry. And we wore again. To the science center we went, again (we go there a lot).

She was in the wrap for the beginning and end of the visit. She as comfy, I was comfy, and I could easily wrap with no worries about the feeling of the wrap on my hands. AND it comes with sleepy dust. Major time. Miss Spunky hasn't fallen asleep on my back in quite some time. So she must have been very comfortable to have been able to do that.

Final say---Lalu Wovens has some fantastic, quality, wraps and, after a wash, they are absolutely wonderful for those with sensory specialties! They're not too thick and definitely aren't harsh against the skin in any way.

And, hey... this wrap matched pretty nicely with my outfit.

  13. That looks like a fabulous wrap, and your little one looks very cozy. My youngest is pretty wild, not sure she would stay still enough for me to wear her.
